  1. Day 1: Arrival and booking into a hotel in Kandy

    Today marks the start of your 3-day, 2-night journey. Upon arrival at Bandaranaike International Airport, a representative from Lanka Safe Tours will welcome you. From there, you’ll drive to Kandy, stopping en route at the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage. Established in 1975 by the Sri Lanka Department of Wildlife Conservation, Pinnawala cares for young elephants abandoned in the wild. It houses the world’s largest herd of captive elephants and is located 13 km northeast of Kegalle town. The best time to visit is between 9 am and 1 pm, when visitors can watch the young elephants being bathed and fed milk in the river. After this unique experience, you will continue your journey to Kandy for your overnight stay.

  2. Day 2: Kandy to Nuwara Eliya and back to Kandy

    On day two, after breakfast, travel from Kandy to Nuwara Eliya, the heart of Sri Lanka’s tea country. Visit Damro Labookellie Tea Centre and Tea Garden to learn about tea production and enjoy a tasting. See Ramboda Falls, then Lake Gregory for scenic views and relaxation. End with a quick stop at Nuwara Eliya Post Office before returning to Kandy for the night.

  3. Day 3: Drop off to Airport

    On day three, after breakfast, visit Temple of the Tooth Relic, a sacred UNESCO World Heritage site housing Buddha’s left canine tooth. Enjoy panoramic views from Kandy View Point, then travel to Bentota for your overnight stay.

    On day three, head to Dambulla. Visit the Matale Muthumariamman Temple, dedicated to the goddess of rain and fertility, and explore the vibrant Matale Spice Garden. Climb Sigiriya Rock Fortress, the UNESCO-listed Lion Rock, or the nearby Pidurangala Rock for panoramic views. Finish at the Rangiri Dambulla Cave Temple (Dambulla Golden Temple), Sri Lanka’s largest preserved cave temple with 157 murals under a 150m rock. Return to Kandy for the night.

  4. Day 4: Kandy City and drop off to Airport

    On day four, explore Kandy. Visit the sacred Temple of the Tooth Relic, the giant Buddha at Bahirawakanda Temple, and enjoy panoramic views from Kandy View Point. Stop at the local market and the National Gems and Gemmological Museum, then wander the Royal Botanic Gardens, Peradeniya. Finally, travel to Colombo for airport drop-off or a beach town of your choice.

    You will arrive at Bandaranaike International Airport today in accordance with your four nights and five days of travel arrangements. You will be welcomed at the airport by a representative of LANKA SAFE TOURS, and you will then board a car to go to your accommodation in Bentota.

  2. Day 2: Sightseeing Bentota

    On day two, explore Bentota. Cycle near the Katukoliha Temple, pass Dedduwa Lake, and admire Mullegoda Temple. Relax at Bentota Beach and enjoy water sports like water skiing, snorkeling, banana boat rides, and windsurfing. Later, visit Galle Fort, tour the Turtle Hatchery Farm, and finish the day with a scenic Madu River boat ride.

  3. Day 3: Travelling back to Colombo

    On day three, we will be travelling to Colombo. We will leave after lunch and book you into the hotel in Colombo.

You’ll then explore the Peradeniya Royal Botanical Gardens, home to over 4,000 plant species across 147 acres, with the serene Mahaweli River flowing through it. On the way to Nuwara Eliya, you’ll stop at the Ramboda Falls, Sri Lanka’s eleventh-tallest waterfall, framed by lush greenery. In Nuwara Eliya, you’ll visit the Damro Labookellie Tea Centre and Tea Garden to learn about tea production and enjoy a tasting session. The day concludes with an overnight stay in Nuwara Eliya.

  3. Day 3: Nuwara Eliya to Yala through Ella

    On day three, you’ll travel to Tissamaharama, passing scenic mountains, waterfalls, and lush greenery. En route, you’ll stop at Gregory Lake for a pony ride and lunch, and pass through the charming town of Ella. You’ll hike Little Adam’s Peak, a gentle climb through tea plantations with stunning jungle views, and visit the iconic Nine Arch Bridge, a colonial-era marvel surrounded by rolling hills. Next, you’ll see the majestic Ravana Falls, named after the legendary King Ravana. The day concludes with an exciting safari at Yala National Park, home to diverse wildlife along the Indian Ocean, followed by dinner and an overnight stay at your hotel.

  4. Day 4: Yala to Bentota

    On day four, you’ll travel to Bentota, stopping along the way in Galle to visit the historic Galle Fort, built by the Portuguese in 1588 and renovated by the Dutch from 1649. Despite being over 432 years old, the fort remains beautifully preserved and is considered an important architectural landmark. Afterward, you’ll continue on to Bentota for your overnight stay.

  5. Day 5: Bentota City Tour

    On day five, you can explore Bentota, enjoying cycling near the historic Katukoliha Temple and the scenic paddy fields. Along the way, you’ll pass the murals of Mullegoda Temple and the turquoise Dedduwa Lake. Visit Bentota Beach, known for its swaying coconut trees and serene surroundings, perfect for swimming, diving, and snorkeling. In the evening, take a boat ride on the picturesque Madu River near Balapitiya, with its islands and wetlands, before returning to your hotel for the night.
