15 Days Wildlife Tour Package
Day 1: Airport to Negombo
Upon your arrival at the Bandaranaike International Airport, your faithful chauffeur for the next 15 days will be at the gate to greet you. After your arrival, you will be first driven to the beautiful beach city of Negombo for your overnight stay
Day 2: Negombo to Wilpattu
On day two of your tour, you will be driven to Wilpattu to your hotel for your overnight stay.
Day 3: Wilpattu sightseeing
On day three, explore Wilpattu National Park, Sri Lanka’s largest and oldest park, famed for its natural lakes called willus. Spot leopards, elephants, and diverse wildlife amid 106 scattered lakes. Visit Kudrimalai Point, where Prince Vijaya first landed. After an exciting safari, return to your hotel to relax and end the day.
Day 4: Wilpattu to Sigiriya
On day four, explore Minneriya National Park, spanning 8,889 hectares and home to up to 700 free-roaming elephants. From butterflies to deer, the park teems with wildlife, with elephants often near Minneriya Tank. Rare leopard sightings add thrill to your safari. After an exciting day, return to Sigiriya for an overnight stay.
Day 5: Sigiriya City
On day five, hike Pidurangala Rock, a 199-meter natural site offering tranquil views of Sigiriya Rock and the surrounding jungle. Its historic Buddhist caves predate King Kashyapa’s reign. In the afternoon, visit Hiriwadunna Village for an authentic rural experience enjoy a bullock cart ride, boat trip, and a traditional Sri Lankan meal before returning to your Sigiriya hotel.
Day 6: Sigiriya to Kandy
On day six, climb Sigiriya Rock Fortress, a 180m UNESCO site with King Kashyapa’s palace ruins and iconic lion gate. Visit Dambulla Golden Temple, a 150 m rock cave complex adorned with 157 murals. Explore Matale’s spice garden and the vibrant Muthumariamman Hindu Temple before continuing to Kandy for your overnight stay.
Day 7: Kandy City Tour
On day seven, explore Udawattakele Forest Reserve, a 104-hectare sanctuary rich in birds, reptiles, and flora. Visit the UNESCO-listed Temple of the Tooth Relic, then stroll around Kandy Lake. Enjoy panoramic city views from Kandy Viewpoint, and optionally browse local shops, before returning to your hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 8: Kandy to Nuwara Eliya
On day eight, travel from Kandy to Nuwara Eliya, stopping first at Peradeniya Royal Botanical Gardens, home to 4,000+ plant species. Pause at Ramboda Falls, a 109m cascade framed by emerald forest, then visit Damro Labookellie Tea Centre to tour tea plantations and sample Ceylon tea. Continue to Nuwara Eliya and check in at your hotel.
Day 9: Nuwara Eliya to Tissamaharama through Ella
On day nine, travel from Nuwara Eliya to Tissamaharama via Ella. Hike Little Adam’s Peak through lush tea plantations, then visit the Nine Arch Bridge, a 1921 colonial-era marvel amid rolling hills. Pause at Ravana Falls, Sri Lanka’s widest waterfall steeped in legend, before continuing to Tissamaharama for your overnight stay.
Day 10: Tissamaharama to Yala and back
On day ten, embark on a safari at Yala National Park, Sri Lanka’s second-largest reserve, home to leopards, elephants, and 215 bird species. Explore its diverse wildlife and historic sites like Sithulpahuwa and Magul Vihara. After an exciting day in the wild, return to your Tissamaharama hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 11: Tissamaharama to Udawalawe National Park
On day eleven, visit Udawalawe National Park, a 30,821-hectare wildlife haven known for its elephants and rich biodiversity, including birds, reptiles, and butterflies. Explore the Udawalawe Elephant Transit Home, caring for orphaned calves. After a thrilling safari, return to your Udawalawe hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 12: Udawalawe to Sinharaja Sanctuary
On day twelve, explore the Sinharaja Forest Reserve, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and biodiversity hotspot. Home to predominantly indigenous trees and endemic wildlife—including birds, butterflies, amphibians, and snakes the rainforest mesmerizes with its lush canopy and vibrant ecosystem. After your visit, transfer to your hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 13: Sinharaja to Mirissa
On day thirteen, travel to Mirissa and visit Coconut Tree Hill, a scenic headland offering stunning views of the beach and bay perfect for photos. Next, explore the local fish market and harbor, witnessing anglers’ daily catches and auctions. Stroll through town before checking into your hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 14: Mirissa
On day fourteen, embark on a morning whale watching tour off Mirissa, getting close to majestic whales and other marine life in the Indian Ocean. Afterward, enjoy a full day relaxing on Mirissa’s beautiful beaches, swimming, sunbathing, or strolling along the shore, before returning to your hotel for a restful evening.
Day 15: Departure
