  1. Day 1: Arrival and Proceed to Kandy city

    Upon arrival at Katunayake Airport, a Lanka Safe Tours representative will greet you. Your first stop is the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, where you can see elephants bathing, feeding, and learn about conservation efforts. Next, you’ll head to Kandy for sightseeing, including the Temple of the Tooth Relic (Sri Dalada Maligawa), a sacred Buddhist site and UNESCO World Heritage location. The day ends with dinner and an overnight stay at your Kandy hotel.

  2. Day 2: Kandy to Nuwara Eliya

    Travel from Kandy to Nuwara Eliya, stopping at Peradeniya Botanical Garden, Ramboda Baktha Hanuman Temple, and a tea factory/estate. Evening sightseeing in Nuwara Eliya, then overnight stay at the hotel.

  3. Day 3: Nuwara Eliya to Kataragama

  4. Day 4: Kataragama to Colombo

    Morning visit to Kataragama Temple, then travel to Galle with a stop at Rumassala Sanjeewani Mountain. Explore Galle Fort and other highlights of Galle before proceeding to Colombo for an overnight stay.

  5. Day 5: Departure

    On your departure day, visit Sri Panchamuga Anjaneyar Temple and Kelaniya Buddhist Temple before being dropped off at Katunayaka Bandaranaike Airport, concluding your 8-day Ramayana Tour in Sri Lanka.

7 Days Ramayana Tour Package

  1. Day 1: Arrival Date. Visit Anuradhapura via Chillaw

    A Lanka Safe Tours representative will welcome you at Katunayake Airport and drive you to Chillaw, visiting Munneswaram Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva, and Manavari Temple, the first in the world dedicated to Lord Rama. Continue to Anuradhapura for dinner and an overnight stay.

  2. Day 2: Anuradhapura to Trincomalee

    In the morning, visit Atamasthana, the eighth sacred site in Anuradhapura, then travel to Trincomalee. Explore Thirukoneswaram Temple, a 2,000-year-old Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, overlooking the Indian Ocean. Enjoy the scenic beauty, cultural significance, and overnight stay in Trincomalee.

  3. Day 3: Trincomalee to Kandy

    Travel from Trincomalee to Kandy, visiting Dambulla Cave Temple, a vast UNESCO site with over 150 Buddha statues and intricate murals. Stop at Matale Spice Garden to explore native spices and medicinal plants. In the evening, visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic in Kandy and stay overnight at your hotel.

  4. Day 4: Kandy to Nuwara Eliya

    On the morning of this day, we will travel from Kandy to Nuwara Eliya. Along the way, we will visit Peradeniya Botanical Garden and the Bhakta Hanuman Temple in Ramboda. Then you will visit a beautiful waterfall and a tea factory. Next, you will come to Nuwara Eliya. After sightseeing in the city, you will come to your Nuwara Eliya hotel for an overnight stay.

  5. Day 5: Nuwara Eliya to Kataragama

    On the 5th day, you will travel from Nuwara Eliya to Katragama. Before that, you will visit Sita Amman Temple and Ashok Vatika. Along the way to Kataragama, you will also visit the Divurum Pola Buddhist Temple, Ravana Falls, and Ravana Caves. Your overnight stay will be at a beautiful hotel in Kataragama.

  6. Day 6: Kataragama to Colombo

    On the morning of this day, you will visit Kataragama Temple. Then you will travel to Colombo. Along the way, you will visit the Ussangoda Ramayana site, Galle Fort, and Rumassala Sanjeevani Mountain. Your overnight stay will be at a hotel in Colombo.

  7. Day 7: Colombo Tour and Departure

    On your departure day, visit Sri Panchamuga Anjaneyar Temple in Colombo, dedicated to Lord Hanuman with his five-faced statue. Then stop at Kelaniya Buddhist Temple, known for its 7-meter Buddha statue, relics, and vibrant Duruthu Perahera festival. Afterward, you will be transferred to Katunayake Airport to conclude your 8-day Ramayana Tour.

    Upon arrival at Katunayake Airport, you will be welcomed by a Lanka Safe Tours representative and travel to Chilaw, visiting Munneswaram Temple and Manavari Temple along the way. Afterward, you will continue to Anuradhapura for dinner and an overnight stay. Munneswaram Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is associated with Lord Rama from the Ramayana, while Manavari Temple is devoted to Lord Rama and houses the original lingam installed by him.

  2. Day 2: Anuradhapura to Tricomalee

    In the morning, you will visit the Atamasthana, the eight sacred sites in Anuradhapura, before traveling to Trincomalee. Along the way, you will stop at Thirukoneswaram Temple. Upon arrival in Trincomalee, you will enjoy sightseeing in the city before heading to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay. The Atamasthana are revered Buddhist sites visited by the Buddha, while Thirukoneswaram Temple is a historic Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, set atop a scenic promontory overlooking the Indian Ocean.

  3. Day 3: Trincomalee to Kandy via Dambulla

    On day three, you’ll travel from Trincomalee to Kandy, visiting Dambulla Cave Temple and Matale Spice Garden en route. In the evening, explore the Temple of the Tooth Relic before checking into your Kandy hotel.

  4. Day 4: Sightseeing in Kandy

    In the morning, visit the Royal Botanical Garden in Peradeniya, then Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage to see and interact with the elephants. In the evening, enjoy the Kandy Cultural Dance Show before returning to your Kandy hotel for the night.

  5. Day 5: Kandy to Nuwara Eliya

  3. Day 3: Full-Day Tour in Jaffna

    On the third day, visit Jaffna’s main attractions, including Nallur Kandasamy Kovil, Naguleswaram Temple, Keerimalai, the Public Library, and Nilavaral Well. Nallur Kandasamy Kovil, dedicated to Lord Murugan, features intricate carvings and hosts the annual 25-day Nallur Festival with colorful processions and traditional rituals. Overnight stay in Jaffna.

  4. Day 4: Jaffna to Trincomalee

    On the fourth day, travel from Jaffna to Trincomalee, visiting Thirukoneswaram Temple along the way. This 2,000-year-old Hindu temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva, sits on a rocky promontory overlooking the Indian Ocean. It features colorful architecture, intricate carvings, and is a key pilgrimage site for Maha Shivaratri. Overnight stay in Trincomalee.

  5. Day 5: Full-Day Tour in Trincomalee

    You will do a full-day sightseeing tour in Trincomalee. Later, you will come back to your Trincomalee hotel for an overnight stay.

  6. Day 6: Trincomalee to Kandy

    On the sixth day, travel from Trincomalee to Kandy, visiting Dambulla Cave Temple and Matale Spice Garden en route. Dambulla features five caves with over 150 Buddha statues and intricate murals.
